Designing and building a supersonic drone is an extremely hard challenge, however, it is not impossible. This challenge is perfect for our team because it pushes us to become better engineers. Also, it’s just plain awesome!

There are a variety of regulatory powers that must be considered when operating a project like ours. Yes! Over 1/3 of Project Boom’s membership is made up of international students!

Our two-phased plan allows us to test many of the vital flight systems on a sub-sonic aircraft without the complications of a supersonic one. 

Project Boom’s sub-sonic aircraft will fly in the summer of 2021 and our supersonic aircraft will fly at the end of that same year.
